SARI ANDERSON - Sari grew up in Rhode Island and was a star athlete in both ice hockey and soccer. She passed on several opportunities to play collegiate women’s ice hockey and decided instead to head to college at the University of Colorado in Boulder. Colorado presented a whole new realm of outdoor sports for Sari and she quickly discovered a passion for trail running. Sari soon moved to Vail to be closer to the mountains and she began competing in trail running, snowshoe, and mountain bike races.

Sari recently relocated to a log cabin above Glenwood Springs, CO where she has now added firewood splitting, snowblowing and landscaping to her training regimen. Sari is taking a break from racing in 2007 as she prepares for her next big adventure – a baby due in July. She hopes to be racing again by the end of the year with a higher VO2 Max and all the strength of a new mom.
